Sharon Rene

Sharon Rene is a California based creative director, photographer, curator, writer, and entrepreneur whose work lives at the intersection of art, travel, community, and personal transformation. Through visual storytelling and intentional experiences, she creates spaces where creativity becomes a catalyst for connection, healing, and possibility.

Her creative journey began at just five years old, walking her first runway beneath the mirrored columns of Bullock's in Santa Ana. From there, creativity became a constant companion. She modeled professionally, performed as a dancer and film extra, sang in choir, filled sketchbooks with drawings, and developed a lifelong fascination with storytelling in all its forms. Represented by agencies including Marla English, Nancy Mott, and Caroline Leonetti, those early experiences laid the foundation for a career built on artistic expression.

Motherhood reshaped that foundation into something larger. While raising three children, Sharon continued writing, photographing, creating vision boards, and imagining a future where artists could find not only inspiration, but genuine community. That vision became Bee+Hive Artist Collective, an organization dedicated to supporting artists through exhibitions, education, creative resources, and meaningful connection. What began as one idea has since expanded into an interconnected collection of creative ventures that also includes Soulful Escapes, offering transformative travel experiences, and RA Essentials, a lifestyle brand inspired by intentional living.

Today, Sharon serves as Creative Director and Curator for Black Umbrella Tattoo & Art Gallery while continuing to build experiences, publications, educational resources, and creative programs that empower artists and entrepreneurs alike. Her photography has become an extension of that mission, capturing the beauty of culture, landscape, and the quiet moments that remind us to slow down and see the world differently.

Deeply connected to her California heritage through the Yorbas, Peraltas, Bleeckers, and Luceros, Sharon's appreciation for land, history, and legacy continues to influence her work. Whether curating exhibitions, leading creative initiatives, photographing distant landscapes, or designing future retreats, she remains guided by a simple belief: creativity has the power to bring people together and change lives.

Looking ahead, Sharon's vision extends beyond individual projects. She is building a lasting creative ecosystem that supports artists, celebrates culture, encourages exploration, and ultimately leads toward The Hive Sanctuary, a place where art, nature, wellness, and community can flourish together for generations to come.
